Building SREmu

Grab source:

Sourceforge subversion page:
https://sremu.svn.sourceforge.net/

Recommended tool for grabbing source:
http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/

Optionally, grab it with subversion in command line:
svn co https://sremu.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/sremu sremu

MySQL:

Download and install either MySQL 5.0 or MySQL 5.1, download link:
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.1.html

-> Do a CUSTOM install and enable "Developer Files", you will need these for the next step.

Dont get version 6.

Recommended is to install the GUI tools for easier management.
Continue to configure SQL server, then import the SQL file. As of revision 12, db.sql is located in main directory in subversion repository.

Download mysql++:
http://tangentsoft.net/mysql++/

Build mysql++ in both debug and release mode.
You will have to adjust project folders if you do not install MySQL 5.0 or if you do not install it in the default location.
Run install.hta and select a directory anywhere on your harddisk.

Configure MSVC++ directories
In Visual C++ 2008, go to:
Tools -> Options -> Projects and Solutions -> VC++ Directories

Set include files to: [folder created by install.hta]\include
Set library files to: [folder created by install.hta]\lib

Go into [folder created by install.hta]\lib, copy the mysqlpp_d.dll file into your solution's Debug folder.
Do the same for mysqlpp.dll but put it in your solution's Release folder.

You are now ready to build SREmu.
